Support for people during the second Lock Down

Support in Greenwich

Greenwich Community Hub: If you can’t go out and don’t have any family, friends or neighbours around to talk to or help with things like shopping or food, then contact the Greenwich Community Hub.  The Community Hub also offers advice around support for carers, digital support, mental health and wellbeing advice, access to food, helpful advice on staying warm in winter, housing and financial advice, befriending and more.

We’re here for you—Call 0800 470 4831 to talk to a friendly advisor or request support online.

Support in Lewisham

Call Community Connections Lewisham on 0330 058 3464, open Monday – Friday 9.30 am – 4 pm for anyone age 18+ for help with Accessing food, Staying active, Befriending, Practical help, Finding employment.

Advice Lewisham For information and advice about bills, work, renting or family matters call on 0800 231 5453 Monday to Friday 9.30 am – 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm – 4 pm for Multi-Lingual support, Applying for Benefits or food vouchers, Specialist Immigration advice, Specialist Debt advice, Housing or Employment issues.

If you need a food parcel, Lewisham Foodbank can support you.

If you are unsure who to ask, you can call the Citizen’s Advice referral helpline on 0808 208 2138.

Local Food Projects There are many local food banks and projects where you can turn up. Click here to see a map of ones near to you and more details about when they are open.

Online supermarkets

The Government have shared the list of extremely vulnerable people with supermarkets. Supermarkets aim to give these people priority delivery slots. Call your preferred supermarket for more information.
