Food Champions

Are you interested in and passionate about Good Food for all?
Would you like to support children to access a delicious healthy meal during the school holidays?
Or would you like to get involved in community meals across the borough?

If so, then we have some fantastic opportunities for you.

GCDA and RBG, under the Good Food in Greenwich Partnership are delivering food-based projects across the borough, throughout the year, but we need more help!

Holiday meal provision

Over the school holidays many kids may go hungry as schools and their kitchens are closed. GCDA, with partners GLL, CACT & FareShare, is delivering meals over the holidays to provide food at centres around the borough and are looking for volunteers to help.

This summer there will be 13 venues serving twice a week so any time you have to spare would be gratefully received!

NB (DBS check is needed but this will be at no cost to you

Community Meals

Currently, volunteers with the Good Food in Greenwich Pop-up Kitchen are moving round the borough putting on monthly meals using surplus food to create delicious dishes and inviting the community in to eat together and get to know each other. They have been a fantastic success and people want more, but we need more volunteers to make it work!

Surplus Feasts

GCDA runs larger Surplus Feast events throughout the year, usually on the weekends and we’re always looking for more volunteers to come help chop and serve. A great day is had by all!
