Why your organisation should consider signing up to the London Healthy Workplace Charter
Signing up with the London Healthy Workplace Charter is a useful way of raising awareness and encouraging good practice (with staff and management) on the importance of nurturing a healthy and happy workforce.
It was a positive move for GCDA. It gave us the opportunity to bring together in a simple framework our ethos and existing work to support our staff to adopt healthier lifestyle habits. And it gave us the opportunity to develop an action plan to help us advance work in this area.
GCDA received their Commitment Award at the London Healthy Workplace Charter Award Ceremony at City Hall on 10 November 2015 and was recognised as a supporter of, and a sector champion for, the London Healthy Workplace Charter.
GCDA would encourage other organisations, no matter how small, to consider signing up to the LHWC. Public Health, Greenwich provides great support and assistance throughout the accreditation process.
