GCDA and IKEA Greenwich partnership

21st January 2019 By garygcda Leave a Comment

GCDA is delighted to announce that it has been chosen to partner with IKEA Greenwich, which opens on February 7th.

GCDA was chosen from amongst several organisations to collaborate with IKEA Greenwich to help promote healthy and sustainable living across local communities

Helen Aylett, IKEA Greenwich Store Manager, said: “We’re committed to being a good neighbour in the local community and to create real, impactful change. For that reason, GCDA is the perfect partner, already closely working with the people of Greenwich. The new features within IKEA Greenwich are the ideal space for GCDA to run events and we are looking forward to exploring how we maximise opportunities together to have a positive impact in the local area.”

Claire Pritchard, Chief Executive of Greenwich Cooperative Development Agency, adds: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen from amongst several candidates as IKEA’s partner in Greenwich. IKEA recognises the synergies between our work, particularly those related to sustainable living and community involvement. We believe the partnership will help to grow and highlight the work of GCDA whilst our extensive relationships in Greenwich will enable us to ensure that the community benefits from the facilities IKEA is creating at its most sustainable store.”

GCDA is hoping to be at the opening of the Greenwich store offering taster events to the public.
